... back in Scotland and in the CJ3. Flight starts early evening and gets further and further into the night. Arrival in Luton is in the dark. This video features some nice coverage of clouds during sunset, night dimmed cockpit and night approach into London's Luton airport. Video features the prime Jazz & Funk Fusion music (free on Youtube) from Joe Bagale (member of Jazz Mafia) of the San Francisco area: Miles of Prints ... check his great music on his Youtube channel
This is a relaxed evening flight back to Stuttgart, out of Eindhoven. Typically for the end of the day, we were empty and had only the fuel + reserves back to Stuttgart on board. That calls for extreme acceleration on the takeoff roll and a steep climb. Enjoy when I am hustling thru calling out all the call-outs on the take off run (engine guages, airspeed, 80, V1, rotate ...). I have started using my Iphone 6+ and I am still struggling with the right setup and the autofocus tricks me many times ... still learning.
Gusty crosswind and a drone encounter (the camera barely picked it up) on the short trip back to PWK.

About midday from Sylt to Speyer. Speyer has no IFR approaches, only VFR. The procedure is to cancel IFR 10-20 miles before the airport. It is a tricky area, though. Mannheim and Frankfurt airspaces very close in the north. Speyer with a couple of restricted areas (the cathedral) and then a B747 will laugh at you like it was departing but is actually on display at the Musuem Speyer very nearby
... returning to Lugano shortly before sunset in somewhat IMC conditions. Cloud layer eventually very thin and not to long after becoming established on LSZA's LOC Hotel approach into RW01 with circling RW19 we have visual contact with the field and can proceed straight in to RW01
Afternoon Flight out of Speyer to Paris Le Bourget. Unusual apporach into 07 with a turn onto the ILS right over the city of Paris. RWY 16 VFR downwind departure in Speyer with IFR pickup while still in the pattern going really slow with the jet, only 160kts. in order to maintain awareness of traffic from Speyer and two sailplane airports nearby, also staying clear of some restrcited areas in Speyer
After a night in Wroclaw we flew back to Speyer where we took the VFR approach from the South into RW34. Both VFR approaches into Speyer are tricky with a jet ... lots of airspace to the North and stuff nearby you do not want to overfly. Take this mixture with two sailplane airports nearby and you better be looking out when approaching Speyer ... while maintaining very good speed control. Upon arriving the DTM race Team Rosberg was performing their rollout on the apron before the race weekend in Zandvoort; some suprise coverage at the end of video
... on this one we took off with the CJ4 near Würzburg and flew over to Glasgow, Scotland. Surprsingly, in relation to the on-going Commonwealth Games, the Queen arrived shortly after our landing at this remote General Aviation gate of the airport in order to board her Royal helicopter. However, I was only able to get some roayal feet coverage from the embarkment of the Royals :-)
October 2017. Departing Fort Pierce Florida IFR heading up to Charleston Executive Johns Island SC KJZI in a Diamond DA42 NG TwinStar. Cruising at 11,000ft. Shooting the ILS RWY 09 into KJZI with 1,500 overcast and rain.
... covergae from an early August CJ4 flight leaving Paris-Le Bourget and flying into Corsica's Figari airport. Upon arriving some arrival and departure rush in Figari. The airport apparently has no Radar and a runway with only one taxi exit, so each departure and arrival requires some backtracking on the runway
... after a rainy night early morning we flew from Figari to London's Biggin Hill airport. Hmmh, the left over dirt sport from the sandy rain made the camera focus on the windshield instead of the landscape ... to bad for the quality of this video.
